Global Test Market
Global Test Market, was founded in 1999, by its parent company Global Market Insite.
The company provides market research data to clients throughout North America, South
America, Europe, Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region. GMI uses rigorous testing
to maintain a high survey panel quality. GMI utilizes fraud screening, and location
verification technologies in addition to digital fingerprinting, de-duplication
and daily panel scrubs to constantly maintain a high quality and responsive panelists.
Panelists are accepted from nearly 50 countries around the world to participate.
The sample data points include: Demographics, Product Ownership, Behavior, Financial,
Lifestyle, and Professionals.
The registration process for Global Test Market is very simple their form take only
1-2 minutes to complete and requires a double opt-in. Once the registrant completes
the form and clicks on the opt-in link they receive to their email account. They
are taken to a survey that collects targeted information on the panelist. Questions
related to the following are asked: Home ownership, Ethnicity, Income, and other
high level demographic information. None of the questions are overly intrusive.
It is made clear upfront that panelist information will not be shared and that individuals
will not be targeted for marketing messages. The secondary survey only takes a few
minutes to complete.
The members area for Global Test Market is very well laid out. There is a dedicated
section for individual surveys that each panelist qualifies for. Within the section
each survey and subject is listed clearly and a status is given (completed, partially
completed, not started) so panelists can easily keep track of each survey. Panelists
can easily change languages (22 different languages) for all tabs within the members
area. The FAQ's section is very extensive and very easy to find well written answers
to most questions that panelists would have regarding membership, rewards, account
changes etc. Panelist's reward points can be viewed in the header of the members
area. Only one option is given for panelists to communicate with the company. This
must be done via the "contact us" form. The form is simple and only requires an
individual to select from a dropdown list what an inquiry relates to and a textbox
to discuss the issue.
The refer-a-friend section is also quite standard, and very easy for existing panelists
to earn points. Panelists simply provide the names of friends. Once those individuals
register for the panel and complete their first survey. The original referring panelist
is awarded with 20 points for each individual that completes the process. Also panelists
can keep track of the individuals they have referred and the points they have earned.
The rewards system for Global Test Market is quite simple. For each completed survey
a panelist is awarded "Market Points" The amount of market points awarded depends
on the survey. The number of points required for a redemption is 1,000 points. The
award is $50 per redemption, and redemptions can only be made in increments of 1,000
points. Checks arrive 4-6 weeks after the date of redemption for panelists in the
United States, for those residing outside of the country checks will take 6-8 weeks
An additional award is the Global Test Market sweepstakes system. Panelists are
entered automatically into daily and quarterly drawings upon completing surveys
that indicate sweepstakes rewards. There is one daily drawing for $300 and a quarterly
drawing for $20,000 checks will be mailed and should be received in 6-10 weeks.
Global Test Market is a good and easy to use survey panel system. The rewards system
is basic and only offers cash, as does the sweepstakes system. There are no redemptions
for anything aside from cash, which is done in the form of $50 increments for 1,000
point redemptions. The members site is good, it allows foreign users to customize
the site based on their native language and is well organized and easy to find what
you are looking for.
