1. Once I sign-up, when should I expect to receive my first survey?
Generally speaking you should receive your first paid survey within the first week
or two. It really depends on your "profile" (male or female, your location, etc.)
and the current needs of our clients. Sometimes you'll receive your first paid survey
within the first day or two of joining SurveyClub.
You're not going to be eligible for every survey, because some surveys are targeted
towards either men or women, or those who live in a certain area, etc. For example,
if you're a women and the current survey is about men and their grooming habits,
you won't be invited to take that survey.
If you don't receive an invitation to participate in the current survey listed on
our homepage when you register, it simply means that you're not eligible for that
survey. You should receive your first paid survey invitation soon thereafter, and
in the meantime we suggest you read our Special
Report.
While you're waiting for your first survey, we highly recommend that you also register
with some of our partners. We have partnered with
the Top 25 sites that pay for surveys, and once you register with
all of them - for FREE - you'll receive more paid surveys then you can handle.

2. How do I take the Current Survey listed at the top of the website?
Upon registering, you will receive an email inviting you to participate if you qualify
for the current survey. If you don't receive an email notification, you should also
login to your account to double-check just in case you do not receive the email
invitation for some reason (due to your ISP's spam filters, etc).
Keep in mind that you're not going to be eligible for every survey, because some
surveys are targeted towards either men or women, or those who live in a certain
area, etc. For example, if you're a women and the current survey is about men and
their grooming habits, you won't be invited to take that survey.
If you don't receive an invitation to participate in the current survey listed on

3. How many surveys should I expect to receive on a monthly basis?
The short answer is that it depends. Sometimes you'll go for a few weeks with no
paid surveys, and the next week you might get 2 or 3. The average is around 2-4
paid surveys per month.
In order to make the most money possible, we highly recommend that you also register
with some of our partners. We have partnered with the
Top 25 sites that pay for surveys, and once you register with all of
them - for FREE - you'll receive more paid surveys then you can handle.
It will take a little bit of effort to register with them all, but take our word
for it - a month from now you'll be glad you did. If you don't have a lot of time,
register with just a few each day for a week or so.

4. Why do some surveys reward me with prizes, etc. and not cash?
Some companies will often want you to take a short "screener" survey when you first
register with them. Unfortunately these are not usually paid surveys. You'll usually
be entered into a drawing, but the purpose of the screener survey is much more important
than that ...
The real purpose behind screener surveys is that it's how some of the better market
research companies get to know you. It's how they determine which surveys you're
eligible for, and it's the "secret" to getting invited to take the really good surveys
in the future!
The funny thing is that because screener surveys don't pay cash, many people don't
do them - so the odds of winning the prize being offered are a lot higher than you
might think.
Here's an example of a
Screener Survey from Winning Surveys. Go ahead and take it so you can
see how easy they are. It won't take more than a few minutes, and you might win
a 2 night hotel stay.
In short, do not be discouraged if you receive some screener surveys in the beginning
- it's really just their way of weeding out those that aren't serious. More importantly,
it's your chance to show that you ARE serious - and deserving of the really good
paid surveys.

5. How come some surveys involve product offers, free trials, etc.?
Some market research companies and/or the big companies they represent work with
various sponsors, promotional companies, etc. And sometimes you'll be invited to
purchase products at a discount, participate in trial offers, etc. You can safely
ignore these offers if you're not interested.
The reason some of them do this is two-fold - it's a way to help promote their products
and services, and it's also used to help offset the cost of paying high rewards
to survey participants. You'll notice that these are usually the ones that pay the
highest rewards, but you can still ignore the offers.

6. How much does each survey pay? How much money can I make?
Once again, the short answer is that "it depends" due to the ever-changing needs
of the market research community. Sometimes you might receive a short survey that
takes just a few minutes to fill out and pays $10, and a week later you might get
invited to a 2-hour focus group/survey that pays $150.
The amount of money you make will also depend greatly on the number of market research
companies you register with. If you register with most or all of
the Top 25 sites that pay for surveys as discussed in our
Special Report, you'll receive 25 times more paid surveys invitations
and thus make a lot more money.

7. How will I get paid for taking a survey, and who will pay me?
It depends, but the important thing is that you'll know the exact details up-front
before taking a survey.
For example, sometimes you'll be paid by the market research company who is conducting
the survey on behalf of a client (usually big Fortune 500 companies, but not always).
Other times the company that developed the survey - the company that directly wants
your opinions - will pay you directly.
Payment is usually in the form of a company check that is mailed to you via postal
mail, usually within a few weeks. But more and more companies are starting to use
online payment processors such as PayPal - which is great because it means that
you'll usually receive your reward much faster.
Again, the important thing is that you'll be presented with the details before each
survey and you decide if you want to participate or not. If you do, you'll provide
your payment info as part of the survey process.
Once you get going and are constantly receiving payments in the mail and via PayPal
it's great!

8. If SurveyClub is absolutely free, how do you make any money?
People are always asking us how can SurveyClub be free when there are lots of seemingly
similar sites out there that charge upfront "membership" fees. Just to be perfectly
clear, SurveyClub is and always has been completely free. We will NEVER ask or require
you to pay us or buy anything from us.
We make money when our users take surveys. It really is as simple as that. We don't
sell anything.
If a business comes to us and wants to send a survey to 50,000 of our users, they
will pay us a fee that depends on the type of survey, etc. We will then pay our
members the majority of that money in return for taking the survey, and keep a small
percentage for ourselves as our profit. Everyone wins!

9. My schedule is pretty hectic, can I do this whenever I want?
Yes! That is probably the best part about surveys and why it's the easiest way for
the average person to make some extra cash. It's perfect for everyone because you
decide when and how much you want to "work" at any given time. You can do it completely
at your own pace.
Have an extra 30 minutes in the morning before heading off to work? Do you have
a few hours available in the afternoon while the kids are out playing? Or maybe
it's 2am and for some reason you can't sleep? These are all perfect times to jump
online and do surveys and get paid!
On the other hand, maybe you get busy with other things and don't have any time
to do surveys for awhile. That's perfectly fine! It's not like there's a boss breathing
down your neck, or you have to worry about getting fired. You can do surveys when
it's convenient for YOU.

10. I'm concerned about privacy issues. Should I worry about this?
As long as you stick to the "legitimate" market research companies, such as SurveyClub
and our partners listed in our Special Report,
you will not have a problem in this regard. For one simple reason ...
Market research companies know that people like you are the lifeblood of their business.
They are usually paid by large corporations to conduct surveys on their behalf,
but without consumers like you to take their surveys they would be out of business
in a hurry. It's simple economics.
For this reason, the market research companies take consumers' privacy very seriously.
If word got out that a certain market research company was misusing a consumer's
personal information or violating their privacy in other ways, they wouldn't be
in business very long.
Generally you'll be asked to provide basic information about where you live, what
you do for a living, etc. in order to build your personal "profile". This is market
research companies know which surveys to send you. But you never have to provide
any information you are not comfortable giving out.
Each company has their own specific privacy policy, and if you are curious or concerned
about a specific companies' policy you can read it at their website. Here at SurveyClub
we do not, have not, and will not ever give your personal information to anyone.
For more information please see our Privacy Policy.

11. Do I need to fit a certain "profile" to take surveys successfully?
Everything about you - where you live, whether you have a job or go to school, what
kind of car you drive, whether you are single or married, etc. - makes up your personal
"profile".
And this profile is what market research companies use to match you up with the
surveys and focus groups that are most applicable to you. After all, there's no
sense in wasting anyone's time by sending you a survey about things you have no
interest in or experience with.
While your "profile" is one of the most important factors that will determine the
type and number of survey invitations you receive, there is no such thing as a "good"
or "bad" profile. Each and every person simply has a different profile, as everyone
in the world is a little different.
It doesn't matter if you are single or married, have a job or stay at home with
the kids, drive a car or ride a bike, flunked out of school or have a Master's degree
- because everyone's opinions are valuable to the market research companies and
the clients that hire them.
So the short answer is "no" - you do not need to worry about fitting a certain profile
in order to get paid for your opinions. If you are at least 18 years old and live
in the US or Canada, this is for you.

13. What can I do to make sure I receive all my survey invitations?
As you can imagine, it's very important that we have a valid email address on file
for you - otherwise you will miss important paid surveys invitations. If you need
to update your email address, login to your account and click the "Edit Profile"
link in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
On a related note, our system automatically keeps track of whether you are receiving
our emails or not. If your email address doesn't seem to be valid, our emails to
you are being bounced, blocked, etc. you will see a warning when you login notifying
you that you are not receiving our emails.
Also, please note that we do NOT respond to email "challenge" requests.
These are systems implemented by some email providers that usually require the sender
of an email to visit a special webpage and type in a random string of letters and/or
numbers, used to help prevent spam.
We understand these systems may be helpful to people who receive a lot of spam,
however, due to the huge number of members we have we're simply unable to respond
to these requests.
To ensure you receive our emails, please do not submit an email that requires a
"challenge" response.
Unfortunately, spam filters oftentimes block legitimate email that you want to receive.
You should also add our email support@surveyclub.com to your address book, and also
any "approved sender" or "whitelist" that your system uses to prevent our emails
from being blocked accidentally.

14. What about taxes on the money I make? How does that work?
If you're a U.S. citizen, you'll be considered an "independent contractor" for income
tax purposes and no income or other taxes are withheld from the payments you receive.
At the end of the year, any survey company that has paid you $600 or more will send
you an IRS Form 1099 - and you're supposed to include this as "miscellaneous income"
on your tax return.
If you are not a U.S. citizen, you will need to ask an accountant or other tax professional
for the answer to this question, and how it might apply to you in your location.
Please note that we are not accountants and are not qualified to provide accounting,
tax, or other legal advice. Our answer is based on our understanding of the tax
laws, and how we handle this situation ourselves. Always check with your accountant
or other tax professional.
